Dumb Dee Dumb Dee Dumb.... THAT's It! The Slackers over the border have their own day and the name of this holiday must have been thought up in someone's sleep.

CANADA DAY.
Man, that sounds exciting. What is Canada Day..you ask??
It a holiday (key work) that just so happens to fall on a Friday, this year. (not like Wednesday last year) So, it's a long week end for those who actually work.
Personally, I don't know anyone in Canada that works, unless you count a short little fat farmer who works his sheep.....but that's a story for another time.

CANADA DAY
celebrates the birthday of Canada. On July 1, 1867 Canada became a new federation with its own constitution by signing the Constitution Act - formerly known as the British North America Act.
Canada Day is a national statutory holiday celebrated in all provinces and territories and it is a day off for most businesses.

But there seems to be a question as weather or not Quebec is included in all this but again, that's a juicy story for another time.

This being a "holiday' we can expect the usual things that the U.S. and Canada have in common during holidays.... getting stoopidly drunk!
And here are some other suggestion for the day.
Think Maple....ribs! ...think strawberry shortcake because it's red and white or bake a plain white cake, iced with white vanilla or buttercream icing and arrange fresh strawberries in the shape of a Maple Leaf(like the flag for dessert. Think Canadian wines, ie ice wines, or make a signature drink with a Canuck booze ie. Crown Royal...

So, it appears to be a thinking day. I definitely don't know anyone in Canada.

Well then, there you have it. Ya know, except for the Fireworks and all the national fanfare and Major Partying on The Forth of July... Independence Day(uh huh)
Canada Day and Independence Day are practically the same. Kinda like Twin Sons from different Mothers. (one having nothing to do with the other) except maybe the father.. but that's a story for another day.
