The Carol Burnett Show was recorded in front of a live audience and the cast had a running contest between them to see who could wreck a skit by getting everyone else to laugh.
Tim Conway almost won this round. Pay attention to Vicki Lawrence at the end

OK, first, I loooved the Carol Burnett show. When I make it big, my version of the "ear wiggle" will be mentioning 5000 in a way that makes sense. She also shares the same birthday as me, give or take a few years . Second, it's an urban legend around here that Mama's Family's "Raytown" is modeled after the Raytown here in the Kansas City Metro. I don't know how true that is, I never spend much time in those parts. However, Allan Kayser (the guy that plays Bubba) did go to college at Central Missouri State University, and is still a bit of a "local" celebrity here. He does guest appearances at the casinos around town sometimes .

This is one of the greatest things I ever saw. It never fails to be funny. Poor Van Dyke.

By fave comedian of all time has got to be Robin Williams. I lose it with him. I also loved Howie Mandel in the 80s. Saw him at UCLA, I was working Campus Events and he came in promoting something...probably that awful movie he did with Ted Danson. But Howie was HILARIOUS.
And I loved VanDyke. Loved the reruns when he'd trip over the chair.
