Close friend of mine has been smoking since he was 14. He's now 55. I'd been trying for years to get him to quit. His own father spent the last 20 or so years of his life barely able to take two steps because of lung and heart disease, but even that wasn't enough to get him to quit. He doesn't make a whole lot of money, so I thought maybe I'd try the economics argument. Next thing I knew, he's got a rolling machine and he's buying the papers and pipe tobacco and rolling his own. What used to cost him a few hundred a week is now around $35. Shot that argument right to he11.
