That is the way I use to cut Harley 1s wings and nails also. He fussed and I never got bit.... Do you only clip one wing and leave the first 3-4 from the front alone??

I was taught to clip the first 5 on both wings, so they can't fly. I have seen too many large parrots take off out the door and people are amazed that they flew away.

See I was always taught by avain vets and breeders to clip one wing because they fly down to the ground but if you do both you are evening them out and then can still fly especially large birds. I always clip one wing leaving the first 3-4 feathers to keep the full look of the wing.
