I made about 10 pounds of it for a potluck gathering for my wife's graduation from a service school. I was the only person that didn't have leftilovers. My wife loves that she never knows what I will come up with next, and out of nowhere. I'd never made a meatloaf before my vacation, didn't even follow a recipe, and made a killer Mexican Meatloaf that our boy now refuses to eat any other kind. It was unconventional, and spur of the moment in execution.

I've been cooking since I was five, and had to in order to keep my brother and sister fed. Couldn't always rely on mom. Took four years of home ec, two in Jr. High, two in HS. Learned that intriguing women with awesome meals could be quite an interesting experience. Actually won awards in school and district competitions, and one of the cakes I made sold for $70 at auction. It was a cool bonding experience teaching the girls, including my wife, how to cook.

That's Awesome! I had my son do home ec in Jr. High. He loved it! And guess who he married??? A woman that couldn't boil water! She is a super person, but just can't cook.

My wife was a barely capable cook, and the kids always whined about it. She had a kitchen full of spices, no clue how to use them. Once I correctd her worst habit, cooking on nothing but high, she started making food a lot better. Another thing, most men don't know, or care about shopping. I grew up pretty poor, and learned how to shop effectively. I used to take the girls to buy clothes, but they'd go in and just look at the racks and go blah, there's nothing here. I'd walk over and start assembling outfits they loved from various pieces. But I refused to allow them to dress slutty, which I don't find amusing in teen girls.
