Happy New Years to all! How are your pantless resolutions going?


I decided that this year I will cook more. Not your average, just throw something together, type cooking, but actual cooking. Last night I made baked trout over a brown and long grain and wild rice bed. With a cucumber dill sauce on top and garnished with dill. Was quite tasty.

Thank you! It was very good. Next up I have an idea for lamb And I am going to "slum" it a bit later on in the week, Veal Marsala with garlic bread, but hey, cant beat a classic.

I'll be eating more vindaloos this year. There's an Indian market that sells packets of vindaloo "mix" which you just add to a pot of boiling water, let it simmer, add meat/potatoes, and take off the heat when the sauce is the right consistency. It's VERY tasty.

ETA: On the menu for this weekend: Ghost Pepper turkey tacos.

I am very good with Italian style cooking, and some French, though I have never tried Indian. I am also going to be making some authentic Scottish recipes, and if i can find the proper ingredients, Hagus.
