    Not sure I've heard more than a few of any of these songs over the last several decades. However, seems I must have listened to the entire album many times in my youth, since listening/watching it just now recently (over the last couple days, it is well over an hour in length, a classic double LP) I found myself several times correctly anticipating the next song or even the next bar of music or lyric.



    Can't say I ever really understood the album back then several decades ago. After watching Nathaniel Balam's "illustrated" interpretation, can't say I understand it now either much better. Peter and the Genesis crew back then must have been drunk or high, although lots of the early Genesis Peter stuff is similarity weird, and Peter himself I think back then was overall weird. This Nathaniel guy must have listened to the album thousands of times to be able to come up with that illustrated interpretation. Nathaniel also did an illustration of Genesis' Suppers Ready. That illustration I felt was better, easier to follow (although it being only one long song, not a double album, would probably be expected to be easier to interpret/follow).
