Holly crap. This one only first discovered on Saturday and it's going to pass by us closer than some of our satellites. That's close. Way too close in my books.

Something that size would mostly burn up - hence the short warning.

Yes indeed, and they mentioned that in the CBC article also. Still close though, in my opinion. It's kinda like a mini MIR just swooping through. I guess they already also know maybe no danger of taking out a satellite ot two?

I guess it was actually "mini-bus" size.

Here is you "mini-bus" as it's streaking by... actually an image taken on the 24th while it was still 580,000KM out. Little blurry has they had to do a 300 second exposure.

I was more kind of hoping for an actual replacement of this one here that was earlier floating around on the net.

I wouldn't quite characterize it as "...they literally found the needle in the haystack...".

Maybe more accurate to say "...they found the brightly flashing needle that was in the haystack..."

Good day everyone!! Been a while since I have posted. I have been having back issues and it’s the first time for me, never had any my entire life and now I have to start having them.

The VA took some X-Rays and determined I have Sacroiliitis in my SI Joint on my right side so it’s been painful the past month, but I have decided not to go the medication route and use physical therapy and so far it seems to be working for me.

I have been walking 2-3 miles a day and doing stretching exercises which have helped a lot. The bad part is I haven’t been able to play golf in a month, hopefully I will get back on the course in a couple of weeks.

Thanks sir, I was out on my trike today and put on a 170 miles and my back held up pretty well, I can get on and off and having a backrest is huge.

Stretching I can vouch for. Several weeks into initial COVID lock downs I started to develop what I thought was a brutal case of sciatica. Had to spend some days basically only lying on the couch on my back. Pain was really really intolerable. Started seeing a chiropractor but it didn't really seem to help enough. Near the end of the first series of sessions, the chiropractor said he thought maybe my hamstrings were very tight and hindering progress. I started regularly stretching those and all the "sciatica" issues started going away. With more specific awareness now of what was actually going on, all my google searches I now started approaching slightly differently and then I started finally finding useful internet results/info. Basically, sitting too much at poor home office was causing my hamstrings to tighten, which then started causing issues with my piriformis, which basically appeared to be sciatica pain/issues (but of course wasn't really, but same general idea). Long story short, I now regularly stretch my hamstrings to keep the issues away, and for that it works like a charm.
