We're moving to level orange here in the Peg this weekend. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces, gatherings limited to a maximum of 10 people indoors or outdoors, but also suggested best practice is to avoid all gatherings for 2 cycles of the virus (28 days). Schools are moving to remote learning in some extent, notably in schools that have reported a case of Covfefe-19.

We brought our case level to zero before and we'll do it again!

Saw that a few restaurants here in Brevard County won't be going to 100%. They have more sense than the Governor.

It's like, no consideration for health care workers. This is an election year so let's do "the right thing". Question is, what IS the right thing?? So just like you, I will stay home (until I get back to work), and my wife who has lupus will stay home as well. She's a great cook so no need to go out to eat unless they have outdoor sitting.

Well, there never was a statewide mask mandate. It was mostly Corporate decisions based on good science and health concerns. Most of the people in places that we choose to go to, Publix, Winn Dixie and Sam's Club being about it, are wearing masks. We do not go into Wal-Mart. I have heard about all of the ignoramuses in there. We do order online and pick up from there. I don't see that there will be any lowering of the standards in most of the stores about masks. Of course, there are still a lot of crybabies who have no social responsibility or give a damn about anyone else. This pandemic is a far cry from being over. I predict that it will now get worse.

We worked so hard to flatten the curve starting in spring and by the start of summer we had it flatlined and spent almost all of July and August with no active cases. Yes zero.

So now we're up to 400 active cases in the Peg at this time so it's time to ramp things up. Our system is based on 4 levels and illustrated in colour. Green is level 1 (all good) and then yellow, orange and finally Red. So we are going into Orange which is heightened alert and stricter restrictions. If our positivity rate goes beyond 3% that triggers Red and some lockdowns will happen.

I know these numbers are tiny to what most of you are experiencing but as I said earlier we brought it down to zero before, we'll do it again. The good thing is if we have to lockdown again at least we already have all the assistance programs for both workers and businesses in place. This stimulus (survival) money worked from the bottom up rather than handing out money to the bankers.
