Governments in Canada are playing a fine line balancing act with the COVID thing. They know that if they make restrictions too harsh or for too long then many people will ignore or revolt and ignore them, and then they will be forced to be the bad guy and have to try to enforce, or simply be viewed with less popularity. Then there is also the economic consequences of the COVID slow down, which no governments like. Regardless of the growing numbers in the US, the Manitoba government was probably not really wanting to ease restrictions, but probably felt that if they didn't then people would revolt. The initial plans they came up with they had probably mainly come up with weeks ago, as a means of pleasing the people, even though they didn't really want to implement them. So, to avoid the responsibility of a though call, they heavily consulted. Then, regardless of decision they'd be able to at least partially have the populace have responsibility for the outcome. They were probably quite pleased with the populace desire to not ease restrictions as far as they had intended, because it probably aligned close to what they wanted to do in the first place, but we're slightly afraid to do. It's good all around. The populace feels like they had a say, the government gets to share the responsibility (and blame), and the outcome is better rather than worse. However, that approach is often not suitable. I knew someone that always said "...know what a camel is? It's a horse designed by committee...". I think the point of that saying was basically that committees have their places but can't be used for everything. Governments need to also have the balls to make tough calls by themselves, when no one will like the decisions, simply because the decision is the right decision and the populace is too naive (or too self interested).

I am glad it worked out well for you guys.
Wow, that's a lot of Jazz.

Mosquitoes are horrendous tonight. Supposed to start fogging our area tomorrow night
Does anyone do their own personal yard only fogging? I have been wondering about how effective that might be. Bugs are often bad at my place also.

    Tomato plant #2 guardian update...
You could put some pot plants in there and they'd probably blend in nicely.

Use kerosene... just pour on everything, light and come back in 12 hours. All bugs should be gone.
