Well I have an infected tooth that is causing me tons of pain. Root canal is scheduled for Monday morning. Antibiotics hopefully will take care of the infection and pain.

Have to agree with Yama here. I had a sudden abcess years ago also because I had ignored a toothache and then it seemed to go away. Weeks later I woke up one morning with half my face swelled up and in agony. I was sent to an oral surgeon who couldn't use novocaine in my mouth for fear of spreading the infection (abcesses are very dangerous), so he had to drain my inner cheek and gums with a surgical knife and no painkillers.

It was a lot of antibiotics and tears and weeks later before a regular dentist could go near my mouth. I don't wish this on you or anybody, grover. Have it looked at before anything erupts, seriously.
