I had a molar that went bad on me when I was 23, and infection from the root went into the jaw and into the flesh in my jaw. Went to my dentist and when he saw me he gave 2 antibiotics and make arrangements to immediately have me go to a dental surgeon. My neck at that had puffed up and the concern was that if it got worse it could block my airway.

It was Christmas Eve on top of that, the dental surgeon told me I should probably be admitted but given it was Christmas he cut a hole in my chin/neck and inserted a little hose to drain the pus. Good times! Simple things can go south so quickly.

Thanks for the warning. I have no swelling. I was just at the dentist about 3 weeks ago for a cleaning. I do have my annual xrays and Dr visit scheduled for June. But I’ll keep an eye on that. Thanks.

I will definitely keep an eye on that Yama. I really appreciate the advice. I would not like going through that.

Go to the spice drawer and take out a couple of cloves, tuck them in where the pain is and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
