    While driving with my wife in her Ford today I pointed out the transmission choices. PRNDS. When I asked her if she knew what the S stood for she was quick to the gun with an aggressive NO!

    ...not sure I have actually ever had a car that had an "S". I think I remember lots of L and 1 or 2 (and lots of 1 thru 5 and R). I am not even sure what my current car has down there.

    On Ford's so equipped the S stands for Sport. It lengthens the shift points making it more peppy. But in Sport it also becomes a quasi manual (SelectShift) by using a toggle on the shifter to upshift or downshift at your desire.

    Gonna have to start winterizing the Shed-Bo soon. Cold and snow coming next week. We did have snow 2 weeks ago but it was still warm. Lots of heavy wet snow, over 30,000 trees were damaged in the city because the leaves were still on the trees.
