Most people have no idea what a single malt is. For those that don't drink at all.... I can make the same comparison with ice cream. (thereby including everyone in, what I'm sure, will be considered a rant)

Now, before we can answer yama's challenge, you must ask yourself.... does he even HAVE a pace, and if so, how many bottles of beer in the tree does it take before his pace blacks-out! Considering his living situation, the plunger and everything else, it's a trick question!
Why? It's evident by his living situation, the plunger and everything else that he probably doesn't know his own pace. But, we can surmise that he'd somehow add his wife to the equation so we can at least consider her as his point of reference .
I'm sure that sounds a bit confusing so I'll simplify it for you.
Scientifically , it's a perfect equation but to the common person (those that wear pants) it doesn't get us any closer to what it's all about. ( consider THAT simplified)

Now, what do we really know about The Muppet? Is he just stating a fact.... "Im watch the game.. I'm drinking scotch." OR
is he playing with us knowingly ,and by using "a single malt " making a riddle for us to solve.

Personally, I think yama is looking for conformation and the Muppet is drinking scotch.

Scotch IS food and so are Cheetos Leaves, 20% folate. Life is good, then they take the scotch away and hand out the Cheetos to the neighbourhood less fortunate. Then you decompose in your deadbolt locked office hopefully looking quite the mess when someone finds you.
