But calling Microsoft is better than having to pay for a new OS. Of course that's why it's a good thing to KEEP A LIST of you S/N's or register your products so you don't get into these kind of situations.

Well I was referring to the guys from India that call that claim they are from MS and that you have a virus and they want access to your computer to fix it , and your cc number for the fix. Then they scam some people off their cc or get access to their bank info from their of and it gets ugly
