Some of us wont ever forget. A few years back we were going to escort a funeral and normally we have no idea who the people were. Well this gentleman comes up to us at the church and asks if we would wear a red, white and blue ribbon on our uniforms. Normally a no-no but he explains that the funeral was his dads and he was a survivor of the USS Indianapolis and they all were doing it in his honor. Not only did we wear the ribbons but instead of stopping at the cemetery gate as normal we took the procession all the way to the grave site. Stayed for the service and made sure there were plenty of uniformed people to salute during taps. Figured it was the least we could do for someone like that.

Okay enough about Engire's brush with history and back to music or something.
