    Flop 'till ya drop?

NBA players will be fined for flopping.

NEW YORK — The NBA is warning players to stop the flop.

If not, it could cost them.

The league will penalize the floppers this season, fining players for repeated violations of an act a league official said Wednesday has “no place in our game.”

Pair banned from all-you-can-eat restaurant for eating too much
Two men have been banned from an all-you-can-eat restaurant after their appetites left the manager fearing for the future of his business.

But Mr Dalmon, 26, said the restaurant should honour its promotion. He said: "They've only got small bowls and you can't get enough in there so we always go back for more.

I freely admit to being too lazy to google...so after I posted I did just that.

So the flop is similar to the dive rule in the NHL.

CB ALWAYS has a ton of lurkers, far more than those that are logged in. Look at the bottom of the main page, it shows you all that. Quite interesting to look at the breakdowns lol

When I did follow basketball, I followed the Knicks (Ewing/Starks days). I strongly agree with Reggie Miller being on the wikipedia list of 'top floppers.'

Looked upon about as well as turtling in hockey.

Basically like in soccer - embellishing a foul to fake injury and draw a bigger penalty.

I absolutely hate that crap, and Latin/South America are terrible (some of Europe as well). Get the heck up and play the game. I played soccer for most of my life and have been injured countless times. Man up or get off the pitch.

For sports I participate in, that is a good one (otherwise I prefer racquetball, golf, and mountain biking).

Sports I watch are a different thing altogether - for example I'll probably never drive F1 (dream as I may).

The person who hit me was a teenage girl driving daddy's SUV. I got insurance money and got a Honda Civic as a replacement, which I like better than that Ford Escort anyway.
Spun my Ford Escort ZX2 off the center wall of I-77 about 6-7 times at 50mph during a blizzard, back when I was in college. Surprisingly, I never stopped moving and ended up back in the fast lane pointing in the right direction, so I just kept going until I got home. Before I made it home, I passed a 4 or 5 car pile-up and a cop directing traffic around the accident who was looking at me very weird... The airbag never deployed, but I twisted the frame of the car so my passenger was getting snowed on through the gap between the door and the roof of the car. My headlights were both hanging by their wires and pointing almost straight to the ground, I lost my grill, the hood wasn't latched, and my trunk had popped completely open. The next day I drove the car to Ford to have them do an estimate to give to the insurance company. On the way, I decided to test the alignment, and the car actually drove perfectly straight for about 1.5 miles without me touching the steering wheel. However, after the analysis of the car, it was done-zo.
