That's the best one sentence lyrics ever!

For those that can't quite make the words out they are: One of these days I'm going to chop you into little pieces.

I meant to post something like that when Kevin made his one and only appearance in the 5000.

I had a great time the summer of '88. I saw the Dead at Silver Stadium in Rochester, NY (we were about "row" 5 from the stage), and I saw Pink Floyd at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. That light/laser show was absolutely mindblowing.

I saw Goo Goo Dolls back in 1991 at a club called Babylon a Go Go. They were just some guys from Buffalo at the time and had not yet gotten radio airplay.

Johnny Rzeznik bummed a cigarette from me while I chatted with him after the show.
I tended bar at a house party during undergrad in Buffalo (the house was called Gehenna). moe played all night in the basement, about 8 feet from the bar.

I never saw Goo Goo Dolls while I lived there, but so many of my friends refused to go see them once they broke out. Everyone was like "dude, they played my fvcking high school dance. I'm not gonna pay to see them at Marine."

So, the drugs haven't worn off yet? But hey, those were great decades to get stuck in.

Monster of Rock: Donington Park Racing Circuit. Headliners were AC/DC, Ozzy, and Van Halen. There were about 4 other bands

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band

Jethro Tull, absolutely a great show.

    Rush, Moving Pictures.

We had SARS stock in Toronto, we had a large outbreak here, about 500k showed up to see AC/DC, rush, the rolling stones & even Justin Timberlake plus another 5-10 bands. That was a long, fun day.

Tough call because there have been so many. Standouts include the 15th anniversary Dead at Radio City on Halloween 1980. Pink Floyd doing The Wall at the Nasau colleseum was outstanding. David Bowie Serious Moonlight tour in Hartford was excellent. And The Stones in Hartford touring Some Girls was great too.

Pink Floyd's Wish You We're Here tour. They did all of Wish You We're Here, took a break and redid the stage, then came back and did all of Dark Side of the Moon.

    Rush Roll the Bones tour

    Edgar Winter Group

Any one of four different Queen concerts. Nobody put on a show like Freddy.
I also saw Rush during the Roll the Bones tour. That show was at the old Richfield Coliseum, which was torn down once an arena was built in downtown Cleveland.

Add one more that saw them on that tour. They usually start their tours in Cleveland as that is where they had their earliest success. The church where they played their first concert is about a mile where I grew up.

Another band I saw and met is Backyard Babies. I knew someone who knew them. They're from Sweden. I asked my friend if they understood English, and he said definitely. They were very nice (and more fluent in English than many people born in the US).

Hahahaha. No, it was much more boring than that. I never even dated a musician.

One of my friends who is also named Laura married a fellow musician. Laura and her husband are both guitarists.
