Well I hope I didn't steer you down a rocky road. It will be my 3rd in the XD series and if it's anything like the other two I know I will be happy. If I remember right h20work has one as well (full sized .45) and he seemed happy with it.

I want a range report on that thing, I need a carry piece and the 5" full size doesn't cut it.

I'm shocked the stainless is cheaper, mine was $599 back in '07. Danm thing has been 100% reliable even using cheap reload ammo and the the range.
