Not everyone will like this but way back in a past lifetime or earlier in the thread I did make a claim that I partly fulfilled today. I went into Sportsman's Warehouse today as I do every couple of weeks and mainly on Thursdays (shipment day) to look for a pistol. I've been wanting a Springfield Xds .45 ACP since it was introduced back in January. Low and behold there it was hanging on the wall next to some other Springfield's waiting for me. When the salesman came over I asked if I could see it by name and he promptly told me they were out of them as they had sold all nine they had gotten in today. When I pointed out the pistol he said nope it isn't one and in fact I was the second guy to come in and ask for one in the last hour and he had turned him away as well.
So I'm looking over the counter at the smallest Springfield .45 I have ever seen in my life so I had to ask him just what it was then. He proceeds to reach for it all the time explaining that it is just a run of the mill sub compact when he stopped mid sentence and exclaimed "Holy Sh1t it's an XDs stainless". He then proceeded to apologize explaining he had never seen a stainless model before and asked if I would like to see it. Since finding this pistol has been almost as hard as spotting the elusive penguin in Tucson last week I simply said nope I want you to write it up (layaway, that little dude was expensive for a plastic gun). Anyway the pics are below and I should get it out of jail in the next month or so.
P.S. Thanks for listening as I had to tell someone and right now this second is not the best time to tell the wife. She thinks I have to many as it is.
P.P.S. I really like the bonus sticker that came on the box.
