    If you're being serious.....

    If it's a youngster, neutering.

If it's older and it's intact, neutering and behaviour modification.

If it's older and it's neutered, it's either excitement over life in general and not knowing how to express it or it's dominance. Have to study what provokes it.

Yes, I'm an excellent dog trainer. Competed at national level with my sheepdogs. Trained my own K9 SAR dog. Put Canine Good Citizen titles on four of my dogs.
I must apologize. I wasn't being serious. I was being a smarty pants. rofl

But I do appreciate your efforts.

I have a yorkie that was neutered at 10 months (he's now 3) who humps my 1.5 year old male schnauzer all the time. He's neutered too. What's that an attempt at dominance? Lol.

My SiL has a little puff dog and it has a stuffed animal they call the "phuk duck". He goes to town on that thing, even tho he was neutered. They actually have a spare duck or 2 for when he wears one out. My kids weren't quite sure what to make of it or say, I just said: That is nature and it's the reason we're all here...

I was born in '79 and I do have a memory from the crib. I remember being at my grandma's house and my family was putting me to bed. My mom, dad, grandma, and aunt were all saying "Goodniiiiiiiiight" as they were shutting the sliding wooden door to that room. After the door was shut I was able to take in my surroundings and even recall certain aspects of the room like decorations, which way the crib was facing, etc. I recalled that memory to my mom years later and she actually got pretty spooked with how accurate my description of the room was, and she remembered there were indeed a couple times that my aunt came down to visit when we were visiting grandma as well.

So... I might vaguely remember the '70s, but more realistically that probably happened in '80 or '81.

On the doggies....it's often misdirected excitement. Not sexual at all.
    Sometimes dominance.

Oh God, it's starting to come back to me now. And most of that stuff happened in '77. Except the cigar. And the beer. And that other first time stuff -- that all came a few years earlier. But I did buy my first car in '77. Where the he11 have the last 35 years gone.

All the above except for the cigar. I remember something that was rolled in white paper I just can't remember what it was called. Oh and my car was a 64 Plymouth Belvedere.
