Caution!!! Severe Wayback machine action. But I remember when this was on the radio. Not to give away my age or anything.

And still the best drum solo around beginning at about 06:24.

Loving the pics and videos of all the women on here. Especially Pink... I don't know what it is but there's just something about her I really like. She's not necessarily the hottest singer out there, but still very attractive. Probably the punk look and "this is me, deal with it" attitude.

    I've got wood.

Back in the early eighties I was a DJ in a "gentleman's" club. We had a "performer" who would perform to this song (In a gadda da vida). During the drum solo she would move to the front of the stage and with her back to the audience do the splits strategically positioning her "derriere" on a stage light frame in full view. From there she would move/bounce her "derriere" to the drums with careful attention to left or right channel. Needless to say by timing this performance to happen around 11 to 11:30 two things would happen. First she made a financial killing and second at least one person would have to be asked to leave while accidentally (of course) walking into a door or tripping on the front step causing mild bodily harm to themselves (again we were just there to help).

Is there anything more frustrating than hearing Queen's "We Will Rock You" without it being followed up with "We Are The Champions"?

    It's like musicus interruptus...
Yes. Ordering another beer and noticing that the bowl of peanuts on your table is empty but the bowl at the next table still has more peanuts in it.

    It's like peanuts envy...

The 1986 movie "Manhunter" which is the little-known prequil to Silence of the Lambs sets it's very earie final scene to In a gada da vida. The movie was directed by Michael Mann (of TV's Miami Vice fame) and is shot, sometimes annoyingly, in the same Miami Vice style. But the finale set to that song makes it all worth while.

We'll return to our regularly scheduled programming after this...

Communication is an interesting thing. All of the words in verbalized thought are important. If a sentence is said but one or two words are either not heard or omitted, the entire meaning can change. Even if it's something that we've heard many times.

For example, there's a very old song that most people recognize immediately by both the words and the tune. But if you leave out one or two simple words - which should leave the song recognizable, the games the mind can play with it are amazing.

    Nothing could be finer
    than to be in _________
    in the morning.

I'm willing to bet that there are some whose first thought is NOT "Carolina".

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...
