Based on my emails and followup it seems at least for me being Trusted Member just means keep doing what your doing by staying active and helpful. There's gonna be a lot of newbies directed to the site so hopefully having some sort of true "status" may help separate out the trolls and help people get to the real answers or hear and educated opinion first.
