I will very often engage in a group chat or conversation regarding current events or what's going on in the world. Many times I will ask what the other participants hold or think in regards to a specific matter. This is when I will say something in plural form. If I don't know I'll say I don't know but when I hear others opinions I simply share em! I don't insist that someone has to hold or believe something just because I have that outlook, with this in mind I have to tell you that you that your mistaken in what I say. Well, today is "International Talk Like a Pirate Day"

Just how does one go about creating a "Day"?
A"National" day is literally an act of Congress and takes a lot of work.. The first step is to contact your local congress person. Once you have their attention, you have to create the proposal and hopefully it will get onto the congressional agenda before too many years has passed. If you are intent on doing it and have the patience, it can be done.

Other "Days" are created by companies, special interest groups, local governments, sports teams, and others by simply declaring it so..
So, a group of people who obviously had time to think of some important issues came up with "Pirate Day???"

Yet another example that proves that I'm the only sane being on this planet!

A friend 'introduced' me to Savage Chickens a few years ago, and the illustrator has had several 'talk like a pirate' themed posties, otherwise I would never have known about it. As long as nobody flies my unders up the mast, no harm, no foul.
