    BMWs are fanstastic cars and its 3 series is top of the class every year. My mother has an x5 and although she likes it very much it is terrible in the snow. This is the overall feeling across the brand, if you see lots of snow, bmw is not for you.

    Also, i think there are way too many out there, i like more unique things so i am really liking cadillacs or Audi.
    That's funny. The 3 series is one of the most promoted cars for the snow ever. Tire rack even tests every tire with a 3 series every year.

    What it cost to repair or maintain is irrelevant. Drive both first, the BMW will outperform and feel superior in build quality and handling than a Cadillac. The interior finishes in a BMW are also superior (ie: sans the cheesy colored plastic and squeaky after 6 months). I have had a few Caddy Hertz rentals and they are great, but no competition to the Bimmer.
