Manny's speed will probably win the day, but I am hoping for
Hatton. It will be interesting to see what Floyd Mayweather
brought to the table (Hatton) and whether the addition of
Michael Moorer (Pacquiao) was a good idea.
So do I. I understand Freddie Roach needs help, but a better idea
would have been to step down and find Manny ONE excellent
trainer. All these years and now he's got two voices to listen to.
Mayweather on the other hand is IMO a great trainer and so far
it looks like he's been doing good work with Hatton. Hatton with
a real trainer is going to be a force to reckon with.
I will admit hatton is a beast. His chin is like stone. This will be a test for both of them, and hopefully a good fight. Not like the Pac vs. De Lahoya fight where Delahoya got his pretty faced rearranged.
I am still rooting for Pac.
DLH was a mismatch from the start. Far too many wars and his
skills were already declining. Hatton on the other hand, on paper
at least, will present Pac with one of his biggest challenges to
date.
If, as they say, styles make fights, this will be a beaut.

Roger Mayweather is a great trainer; however, his brother bites imho. He got Hatton into excellent shape, but he did not have a good gameplan in place for defeating Manny. Speed kills and the only person who will give Manny a run for his money, at this point anyway, is that loudmouth little punk, Floyd. Do not get me wrong; I love him as a fighter, but his antics are not my cup of Earl Grey outside of the ring. Flash money less and fight more please. Thanks.

Damn. I missed this thread before the fight. At any rate, Hatton was in trouble when this fight was made. Manny fights the same way as Floyd, and Hatton had no answers for Floyd and was taken out behind the ol woodshed. In effect, I would have not gone into the ring with Manny; there was no way Hatton could put with that speed. His only hope was the jab and body shots, but he abandon all that once Manny caught him with that first right hook. Mayweather once said Hatton skills were not up to snuff against against a speed and power fighter. So, he knew going in that Hatton would have to pound the speed out of Manny. That did not work out at all.

Any fight that ends in the second round; truly isnt a good fight.

For sure. It was awful. I wanted a good back and forth exchange between the two warriors; instead, I got an early exit from Hatton. I am glad I did not pay for it. Yeesh.
