Battery question
Attachment 183494
Why does the battery on the Z10 need to be bigger in order to give more life when my rechargeable energizer batteries are the same size but some read differently ( 1400 mAh and the other indicate 2300 mAh? ). Both are AA sizes.
The posts I've been seeing state that it will need a larger battery size in order to give 2300 mAh. Can someone clear this up for me?

a AA battery is a standard size for the outer shell.. the truth is a lot of the inside waste space, they could easily cram more amperage into those, and as you've seen they do.. for a price. Different materials also offer different storage capacity. Of course there is a limit to how much you can fit in there.. you just haven't reached it.
When it comes to a cell phone battery, they build them to capacity. They know they need that battery life, they use the best materials available at the time and they fill'em up! At that point, the only way to get EVEN MORE power.. it to go bigger.

There are chemistries out there that yield more capacity, but they are still too unstable for something people put in their pants pocket.
Right now we're stuck with what we have for a given size. Better chemistries will eventually mature; historically we've seen roughly a doubling of capacity every ten years.

Even if they could give you more juice in a smaller battery, they wouldn't (at least right now) because it would cost a lot more. They want to give you as little as they can so that they save money.
