It's Something That Most Would Not Do- If They Were Innocent.
Instead of Fighting to Clear His Name He Chose to Settle Out Of Court.
Whether He Was Guilty Has Nothing To Do With Conviction.
IF I Stole Cookies, I Wouldn't Apologize To The Baker That They Were Gone.
But Maybe Thats Just Me-
And BTW, Can This Be Moved To Off Topic?Last edited by xxxxpradaxxxx; 02-28-09 at 03:01 PM.
02-28-09 02:56 PMLike 0 - Wouldn't it have been weird if Michael Jackson Turned Himself In When He Was Brought Up On Charges, And Then Made A Public Apology In Reference To That Said Charge?

i second that....why are you apologizing Chris?02-28-09 03:19 PMLike 0 - DuviRetired ModeratorMost celebs do settle out of court. Too much time and effort is spent (as well as cash).
Unless you were there watching it happen, then the bottom line is you do not know.
Also, he was charged for 'Criminal Threat' ... why not more if he did what you say "he did do"? Not saying that is all he did, but that was what he was charged for. He turned himself in because he had a warrant.02-28-09 03:24 PMLike 0 - Most celebs do settle out of court. Too much time and effort is spent (as well as cash).

02-28-09 03:32 PMLike 0 - i personally like chris brown's music as well as rihanna's....1)no one really knows wat happened(but i does not make it right that he hit her) 2)yes i agree he should make a puclic apology and get counseling 3) no his music should not be banned, he does have a career...would you want to be banned from your employment because you hit your spouse/gf/bf? (back to #2) 4) and ive heard there are rumors that rihanna is back with cb working it out....(as prada said also)02-28-09 03:36 PMLike 0
- Okay, I Will Agree- I Was Not There-
Therefore I Can not Say For Sure If He Is Guilty Or Not.
I'm Just Saying That I Feel That He Is Guilty Given The Circumstances.
If He Does Not Go To Court-
Then The Whole Thing Will Be Left To Debate, Until Both Come Out With The Entire Story.
But Looking At Him, I Wouldn't Put It Past Him.
He Looks Like An Angry Fellow.
And Unfortunately, I Feel It May Hurt His Career-
Rihanna Is Quite Popular And I Think That The Majority Of People Feel For Her.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown Is Having His Endorsements Pulled Little By Little.
He Certainly Is Not Rooted Enough In The Entertainment Industry To Receive Such Horrible Public Relations.
Unlike, Say Britney Spears.02-28-09 03:37 PMLike 0 - i'm so over the......oh you wasn't there so you don't know what happened; he ain't been accused; blah, blah....he did something b/c they've been seperated the whole time and if there was nothing to worry about he would have been by her side the entire time showing support instead of aplogizing for putting his hands on her; or the distraction of the situation....and for the record if i put my hands on my spouse and my job found out cause i was in jail and wasnt at work like i was suppose to be then yes some disciplinary actions need to be put in place or what....wouldnt we say the job is messed up for just sweeping it under the rug??????02-28-09 04:36 PMLike 0
- I met Chris Browm myself and this is false and to boot at the time he was 16 or 17 and I also met his mom and she was very strict. To hit a women is wrong but it's not wrong to defend yourself. Women should keep their hands to themselves and so should men. We don't know what happened yet !!!!! If you ban his music ban hers too !!!!

Secondly, if a man will hit a woman once, he'll hit her..again. He doesn't automatically "get well", just because he got found out. They all apologize. That's part of the drama. Snottin', cryin' and beggin for another chance. True sorrow will result in a change of behavior. Always.
A woman who allows a man to abuse her is just as "touched" as the man dealing out the abuse. That was my point. Who knows if that's even the first time he hit her. Might not be. Probably isn't.
Finally, no I don't support women beaters, child molesters (as in "R.Kelly") with my cash. I don't care how talented they are. I feel bad for her, and I hope she's not the kind of woman who'd allow a male to slap her around, on a regular basis.Last edited by Tlynnsmith; 02-28-09 at 11:06 PM.

I agree. If you're fortunate enough to have a budding music career, and you get caught beatin' up a woman, then I say you should have thought about your career, and the possible repercussions, as you were raising your fist to lower it onto somebody's head. Gotta think things over.
Chris Brown is not "big" enough to do what he did, and walk away unscathed. And no, before somebodys asks (not you, Prada), "So are you saying if he was a big star, he could hit Rihanna?????!!!!". No, I'm not.02-28-09 11:02 PMLike 0 - Okay..let me break it down a bit further. When I said "let", I meant to allow unacceptable behavior. I'm not saying that Chris said, "I'm coming to slap you, Rihanna!", and she said, "Okay".

02-28-09 11:43 PMLike 0 - Jesus ppl there is NEVER an excuse for violence. Period. Unless you are defending your life, and maybe Rhianna was at some point in her mind...
I hate to step on the "In my line of work" soap box, because you all usually rightly slap me down... (cue the Robin Quivers music...)
But...
I see dumba$$es every week who beat, stab, shoot their friends, wives, GFs, BFs and KIDS... and at some point there was a conversation in their head exactly like what those of you who don't just step up to the plate and say
IT'S NEVER FCKING ACCEPTABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TO USE VIOLENCE except to defend your life...
It's really really easy. Too easy.
And yes, an entertainer who relies on public support should be sanctioned by the public for being a dumba$$. Look at Mike Tyson. Sure some people still look at him as a hero.. but a few rape charges later after Robin Givens tried to warn everyone...
You see the point. And if you don't, I just love calling plastics and stitching up people who don't want to press charges...
/soapbox03-01-09 12:42 AMLike 0 - I don't really care one way or the other if his music gets pulled because frankly I never listened to it anyway. But with that said, his music shouldn't be pulled from the radio. I don't care what he allegedly did. Pulling his music is going too far.
And if what he did was that bad then Rhianna wouldn't have gotten back with him. From what I saw yesterday, she apparently went on vacation with him. So if she's stupid enough to go back and probably drop the charges, then there should be no problem, right?
