I'm genuinely pleased you've discovered brown sauce. It's nice on cheese on toast (grilled cheese) too.

Ohh I do apologise then! :-) I have several Brit friends here in the US (from Scotland, England, No. Ireland) and they really do have a much dryer wit than my American friends. I often have to look twice to see if they're teasing me or not. (ok sometimes they are)

I always have Lea and Perrins around - it's the only Worcestershire sauce I'll use on hamburgers, steaks, etc - I even will put a dash into scrambled eggs. Never tried it on grilled cheese though, thanks for the idea! I'll let you know when I've been able to find Daddies, too.

I do too, but I find them too filling to eat as a side dish with a huge eggs & bacon breakfast. Usually 2 or 3 pancakes with real maple syrup and some bacon and fruit will hold me for hours. (How pathetic is it that I just ate dinner, and yet this thread has me hungry for breakfast already!)
