I hear you on that one and raise you with a cruiser tailing me for a mile, no lights. I move to the right to let him pass and he swerves behind me, I switch even further right, again he swerves behind me. Still no lights. So I switch to the left and again he swerves behind me! So I stopped switching and kept driving till my exit and he kept following me. So when it was time for me to exit, he just switched to the left and kept going. Bored much?

Yeah like there is nothing better to do then just tail and intimidate people into breaking the law. Meanwhile they speed up to 55 in a 30 (I couldnt catch the cop but was trying without getting a ticket)
    I hate em.

Hate is a very strong word. Its not intimidating whe you are followed by the blue lights, the alternative is more unnerving, at least in my case. Police can escort me home anytime. Lights off though

Why do cops tail people? And speed everywhere?
We tail to make sure you know how to obey the laws and limits...
I don't know about everyone else, But I only speed if I have to...

Understandable...Now, let me ask you this...
What kind of car do you drive, and are there any Modifications/Upgrades you've done to it?
Do you have a past history of being pulled over and contacted for speeding?

He/she was probably tailing you for a reason...Of which, I'm not that cop...So I do not know why

And why do you have to tail people to make sure we know how to obey the laws we got our licenses we passed the test we shouldn't be hassled and intimidated by those there to protect us.

Ok big question please PM me the reply.

Why do all the cops in my old town and most of them in my new home feel it is their right to turn their lights on, swing out threw the turn lane, run the red light and immediatly cut them off once threw?

This really ticks me off, they are no more important or special than my. If they are not working a call or pursuing someone then they can wait at the light just like the rest of us!

I figure this is illegal and if so should I report the cops doing it to someone higher and who?

Seriously this is an on going issue where I live. Secondly how can cops single out a low rider that is driving the speed limit, centered in traffic, and not breaking any laws? I ended up selling my low rider over this, everytime I went out I got pulled over, but I could go out in my stock vehicle, speed and pass and drive crazy and they never look twice?

    What is yalls problem!

In my hometown years ago the cops were doing this a lot when they wanted to go on a break or for lunch or something. Everyone was getting pretty upset because it was pretty blatant.

Eventually they all got in trouble for it.

Well I know some police do that just because they can, but I know when I have a call and it is important I will turn my lights on and go through a light and turn them off, one other reason is because we want the element of surprise so we will turn the lights on to go through and turn them off to not alert the person we are going after.

Here's how I see it...Is it really tailing you...Or could it be that I'm driving in the same direction as you are? Really, I guess its all depending on how you view it...Or to make it more simple to understand, its all on how YOU as the driver see's it

    Personally...
If a cop, in a MARKED patrol unit flips a U-turn with his lights on, He/she has either seen something, is responding to a call, or is heading to cover another officer...Some do it just to get through traffic yes...But there is always something more pressing that they are heading to (most likely anyways)

Your second point about the low rider...I can't answer it, It could very well be "profiling" and so forth...I'd say that depends on where you live...

I don't have a problem with Low Riders or hopped up rice rockets...In fact, its rather funny to see them bottom out, Shoot sparks, and end up down the road with a leaking oil pan! No, seriously...A car is a car, I could give a crap less if your driving a Ferarri vs. A '64 Impala on Daytons with Hydraulics...It still gets ya from point A to B

    Yup! That'll do it...
See, I believe all agencies keep a record of the vehicles they contact and the interactions between them and the Driver...
If ya said No once...That MAY tell the cops in your area that you "MIGHT" be hiding something, therefore...You'll be "tailed" more...
    Hope that helps
    Nate

Spent two full evenings reading the thread, and have gotten a lot of information for myself.
If i get that right, a HD truck with a trailer attached should use the trucks' speed limit instead of regular one? I do believe that's what has to be done, though i ran into a lot of users at RV forums writing that their est. towing speed is around 70mph, which is a reg.speed limit.I'd be glad if somebody will clarify that for me. Also, how often are RV's pulled over in comparison to reg.vehicles and/or trucks?
and the 2nd one, If I do understand that right, any person that enters my private property intentionally is doing that illegal? And I have the right to address him away? What'd you recommend on doing in that case? To many solicitors and religious people willing to advise me or sell smth to me are constantly knocking on my door. Thanks for the answers.

PS. For those who may wonder: No, bears don't walk on the streets and No, we don't drink vodka 24/7/365. We do drink it, but slightly less often =)
If any of you would like to ask any questions, I'm open for talk via PM, and I'll post a pin as soon as i get a BB.I do have a lot of information that may interest somebody and I'll gladly share some.
PPS I am not to be quoted on this and I'm sorry for the long posting

Unfortunately, no answers on the questions..Probably everybody's busy, and I think I'll cut everything out of the prev.posting, as I think it may not be interesting to anyone. It's just about weird life in some 3rd world country, no big deal.
ps, my question is still on, I'm curious..Recieved the lic.plates yesterday, and will be travelling soon-)

Easy solution to a cop following you, done this a few times myself. Pull over and let him pass I've done that like... 7 times now. Ao far they've all just kept going. If they ever do stop behind me, I'll just say I needed to make a call, and I wanted to do it the safe and responsible way

I just slow down and do about 5 under the speed limit till they pass.
