Bought a bottle of mead at a local wine store. Tried it chilled and it was terrible. Tried it again tonight warmed up and its pretty tasty. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

19%! The strongest beers are 6 to 10 percent. It'll do more than get you drunk. I have heard that it is an aquired (nasty) taste. I'd be game to try it, though. I don't think I've ever seen it at a liquor store.

I had to read a little about it. It's made from fermented honey and spices. The Eastern Europeans make it the most nowadays. Some vinyards will mix honey with white wine and call it meade but it isn't.

Never had it, game to try it though. Off the original topic, if you want a really good, really sweet wine, try a Muscato D'Asti. My fiancee and I go through about a bottle a week. REALLY tasty white.
