- Im pretty sure im bipolar... is their anyone on here who is diagnosed with this? I was wondering if someone could talk with me and help teach me about it, etc.
Please if you dont have anything good to add to this, dont add anything. Thanks06-25-08 03:54 AMLike 0 - agreed, my mom has it but the best thing to do is go get officially diagnosed and get the right meds, if they say you don't and you feel you have the symptoms...i.e manic depression, high energy level at times, great lows, and great highs, anxious, etc....go get seen immediately. People with Bipolar varies from person to person, you can go to your local library and get books on it. Some people can function with it, some people have had really tragic results. So good luck!06-25-08 11:21 AMLike 0

- No my man, don't wait. Call your county mental health department and find the clinic that'll see you now. Most work plans don't give you a hassle for preexisting. This is an organic illness that you need to be treated for NOW. If the doc only wants to give you anti depresants, run to someone else. You have to get this under control. It will give your life back to you.
I had to go through the hospital inpatient treatment for depression a few years ago and spent many days with bipolar friends. I know the highs are intense, but you shouldn't have to endure the lows. There is help.
Many of the meds are affordable so you can take the first step. There's nothing wrong with being ill and doing what it takes to get well.
Lots of us want to hear how you're doing. Keep us posted. Remember to start calling around, today.
