I had an older motor trend like.... 6 or 8 months back saying that Ford was the first to introduce the v8 and will be the first to get rid of it. Is there anymore word on this? In the same mag it says something about the new gen mustang could possibly have a twin turbo v6 instead of the v8 and still put out as much hp/tq as the v8?

If you think im crazy, ill look for the magazine, I usually save them all.

Nope Ford isn't dropping it! They are working on some new v8s to replace the current modular line up.

Nice. Could you tell me where you are getting your info? The only reason I ask is... unfortunately people like to think they know everything about cars and a lot of crap is passed around and its just "word of mouth".

Im doing some more research right now and it looks to me like they will keep some v8s, but rid of some and offer turboed v6s.
