I have always wanted one, just wondering if anyone has one and could provide tips, experiences, maybe even how you afford one?

    Cheers

Be careful what you wish for and ready for dissapointment combined with a lot of expense, some of my friends have exotic cars and one of me family has a ferrari which I have used but its noisy, uncomfortable, inpractical and always needs servicing or another chunk of money throwing at it.
I admit it may be fast but I have a motorcycle that does 170mph which is faster than his ferrari has ever been driven.

If you can afford it and it gives you what you want then go ahead, ageing Porsches are very cheap giving you the taste of it and there are plenty of owners around to talk to but once you get into the Ferrari , Masserati & Bugatti league things change in many ways.

Does a 79 Chevy 1/2 ton with less than 100,000 original miles count?

A car can never provide the same excitement and/or feeling of a bike.

OP - check out bikes. If you've never ridin one, learn how.

Its sad how dropping $100k + on a car and you need constant repairs, or like you said throw money at it. whereas you can get a toyota corolla for MUCH less and it'll last twice as long

I used to drive a 1976 Honda Civic, and that was back in 1996, which made it pretty exotic considering you would be hard pressed to find such an ancient model of Civic up and running by that point, lol. I think it was more body filler than body, and I dreaded driving through puddles due to the gaping hole in the driver's side floor...

but here is the odd part... I enquired about replacing the body panels. I could have done so, using brand new panels, from the factory. 20 years later, there's still factory condition body panels available! lol
