With the new federal tax increase that went into effect today, I was just wondering what other cities are averaging per pack. Here in Sheboygan,WI average price for a pack of Marb's is about 6.00. Where are you and average price.

About $5.80 in ND. I about crapped myself when I saw that. I'm looking to be done by this weekend. It's been a struggle but the price makes it a lot easier to give up. I remember them at $1.59 when I frist started. Think of all that money...

I was shopping at our local wal mart after I created the post. And I happened to glance at their prices, 7.89 a pack! I just about fell over!

Newport 100's About 5 bucks in Indiana.

I live in Chicago but the Indiana border is like 10 minutes down and its filled with cig stores.

In Chicago, I think a pack of newports averages about 9-10 bucks

Cigarettes going at such prices? That's blasphemy. I'll stick to my overpriced cigars instead. Actually; what am I saying? Albeit pricey; my cigars are worth their weight in leaves.

The Sinclair (gas-station) near my house got a jump-start on the new cig tax on March 8th that Newports were $5.86 a pack. That was the last pack I bought and I quit smokin on March 9th.

Newports in connecticut are now 7 dollars a pack, when i go visit my mom in arizona, there is a indian reservation where they sell them for 3 bucks a pack.

In Ontario, pack of 25 is avg. $10.00. In other provinces, it's even more.

And those were Camel Turkish Silver, BTW. Bought a pack the night before the tax went into effect and the guy behind the counter told me what they were going up to, so I bought two packs. Luckily, I'm a 3-4 smokes a day guy, so it should last me a while. I gave up caffeine (6-10 20oz Mountain Dews a day) a little over a week ago, so when the headaches go away from that, I should be done with the smokes and am going to try to not buy any more... wish me luck. The hardest part will be that first beer...

Thanks! Didn't think it was possible to be addicted to caffeine, but it most certainly is! Surprisingly, tho, the headaches are already almost gone! Couple more days and I'll be good to go!
