What are some good books you've read or would recommend everyone to read?
Art of War
The Last Lecture
FYI: I actually just joined a book club a few weeks ago. What would've been my first meeting was cancelled, however, due to the weather.

Flatland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'll have to check that out PK.
Btw, if anyone wants to join a bbm book group pm me.

Haven't been to the library in years, I should get back to doing so and get the mind lost in a novel, without renting it, to read the whole thing, then return home.

My book club is reading To Kill a Mocking Bird.
Woo! Have you read it in the past? :p
Read it, saw the movie, and acted out the court room scenes (debate team style) in front of maybe 1/3 of the school including faculty. But that was junior year of high school, 3 years ago, so even with all of that I still didn't pay attention. :D
If you don't want to read it again, you know where you can turn - to everyone's best friend in high school. SparkNotes: To Kill a Mockingbird :p

The Dark Tower Series - Stephen King <3
+1 for the Dark Tower Series.
The Big Sleep ~ Raymond Chandler
The Interpretation of Dreams ~ Sigmund Freud
The Selfish Gene ~ Richard Dawkins
Sigmund Freud. That dude was intelligent as heck.
Odyssey and Iliad, both are fantastic, you can really see why these books have continued to be read for 1000's of years.
I'm sorry I can't say which translation I suggest the most, but they truly are great books.
I am also a Fan of Clive Cussler,- Dirk Pitt Novels, don't like his recent sell outs with countless co-authors, but the Mediterranean Caper, is a very fast read, and will give you the feel if you want to start from his first and move through the 16-18 book series thus far.
Christoper Pike, made a series "The Last Vampire" it was a Teen series that was actually one of my favourite series when I was 14, I must have read them 3 or 4 times.
