It's ok but a little corny. The world is going to hill, people dying all over the place, people in hasmat suits loading dead bodies in trucks and you go for a jog?

I understand stand that but couldn't the writer's be a little more realistic? I guess its par for the course. The walking dead was just as stupid after the third season.. I quit watching it after that but the wife still likes it.

I agree with that, but as I mention previously i'm still curious when the "disease" begin and how. But now after seeing 4 of the episodes "fear of the walking dead" it still not yet explain clearly about that...

You could read the comic books and maybe find something.

I don't think Fear the walking dead is supposed to show how it started, but give a glimpse as to how society broke down so rapidly basically during the time Rick was in a coma.
It has my interest and is giving me my fix until TWD starts back.

Yeah agree after watched 4 episodes seem the plot is like that....

TWD has strong characters and watching them evolve (or devolve) over the course of this crisis is a big part of the success of the show.
FTWD hasn't establish strong characters as yet, so I'm not sure that's the direction they intend. Maybe this back story is the main character.

I'm a fan of both, but feel things don't 'make sense' in my mind if they were truly in such scenarios. That said, it's just a Tv show I've heard the comics are much better.

The one thing I'm finding hard to grasp...
The virus is in everyone, so if you die you turn. However, why is it when you get bite you turn immediately even it wasn't a fatal wound? I've seen people get cut battling Walkers and nothing, but a bite and you're doom unless they amputate in time.
Not getting that.

Perhaps this, the virus is dormant in a living person (brain electrical or chemical activity keeps it that way). When bit by a Walker the active virus from that Walker then activates the dormant virus (like a battery jump start).
If a person dies the brain activity ceases thus enabling the virus to activate and takeover.
