So my favorite device the HP 12C celebrated its 30th Bday a couple of days ago.

    HP 12c calculator: Still up-to-date after 30 years | Crave - CNET

I've owned this masterpiece of design and efficiency for 28 years and use it everyday. Batteries last for months if not years. Everything works as the day I bought it. From the keystroke programing, to the RPN entry system, this calculator is in my messenger bag or on my desk at work never missing a beat.
I wonder if BB designed their keys based on the HP calculators?

That is one serious device. Who'd have thought that the 12c would really be that popular, it being 'only' a calculator? What a goal.

Mine was the HP 33C. I died in 1986, but was still my all time favorite. I went through two 12C's, and I'm on my second 32S which has been acting kind of funky.
