Adam should of won American Idol! He was amazing and can sing like no other. Kris was just a whiney little girl when he sang. But on the bright side now Adam can get a contract with whoever and not be tied down to the "american idol" type of music! Adam will sell more cds than Kris ever will!

I don't watch AI but i do have to say it seems like those that do not win are far more successful than the people that do.

Very true I think "America" just wasn't ready for the Rocker kind of Guy. Adam will damn sure be more successful in the long run! He is amazing.

KISS? Metallica? Rise Against? Foo Fighters? countless other rock bands out there that type of rocker guy?!?! People are not afraid of a rocker front man.

i have to disagree. I think Kris one because he deserved it. Adam is a glam rocker - if he was around in the 80's/early 90's. sure he'd be big. but people don't like his "retro Glee Club" style of performing.

And you have to think of it this way. With all of the religious people out there - that were voting for Danny (being a music pastor and youth pastor), they weren't going to vote for Adam. Especially with the rumors floating around about his personal lifestyle.

The people have spoken and the vote have been tallied - im not saying , i'm just saying.

I think Adam was absolutely the better singer and performer. I didn't always like his style or song choices but, they keep reminding us... this is a competition about singing. Adam will put out a whole lot more hits than Chris I believe. Look at poor Taylor Hicks. He couldn't even get a big enough crowd at his book signing to get a camera shot.

You know...I can't really say, because I missed a few seasons. I'm usually not around to catch American Idol. But I did enjoy this season (what I saw of it).

I think it was good when they got down down to maybe the final 3 or 4... There were some incredibly bad singers in the top 12 this year, and it makes you wonder how they survived that long over so much other good talent.

In the context of American Idol, It's not surprising that he won. When they got down to 6 or so, that was my prediction. Adam had better artistry, and I thought the Allison(?) and the 3rd guy were better vocalists.

The thing is that AI is all about pop commercialism. There was a video from last seasons final of a bunch of wild screaming tween girls all holding signs for David Archuleta. When David Cooks name was announced, they all acted like one of their loved ones had been shot.

They are the audience, and Kris was perfect for them.

I also think that Kris being a christian guy got a big religious vote. Not that there's any thing wrong with that.

As a christian i have chosen that i will not watch American Idol. That that it is unmoral - or out right wrong. But like i said with Adam having the rumors surrounding him about his personally alternate lifestyle. I will not support a program that displays that type of lifestyle. I think Kris got all of the votes that would of went to Danny. I personally don't really care who won. I listen to Slacker's Alt-rock station. Who i haven't heard play 1 (one) AI winner's song.

I do have to agree that about 50/60% of everyone who watches American Idol is most likely under the age of 18 - and the bulk of them being under the age of 16/15. SO with that being said they do buy albums, they do listen to the radio and they do download songs on itunes/Zune. But they have to spend mommy's and daddy's money to buy said items above. So you also have to think as a parent do i want my kids listening to a guy that has a standard of morals that line up with mine, is married : or do i want them listening to a side show cabaret singer, that really dose line in morally with my view points.

I can tell you 100% i wouldn't want my children listening to Adam.

and those that are in the upper age bracket aren't really fond on Adam's dress/mannerisms/style of artistry, so they voted for Kris.

Like i said earlier the votes have been tallied - i'm not saying - i'm just saying.

( these are my personal feelings/beliefs if you don't agree with them i am sorry but i will not sway on this issue.)

There is a bunch of close minded idiots in this country. I'm not gay or religious but I can see right from wrong. The best singer lost because he is gay. Its just sad.

I actually think Danny Gokey should have won. Last year David Cook was better than David Archuletta... now Cook sucks... I thought he was gonna be good. He needs to get back to his down home roots.
