By the way I've almost used my five allowed gigs of data this month on the iPhone and it's a rather nerve-wracking experience. If I go over five gigs I pay double what my plan costs, and that is something nobody wants to do, not at Canadian prices with tax. Fortunately I've never gone over five gigs but this is something I do not have to worry about on a BlackBerry, with the data compression I rarely use more than 100 MB a month.

Great i can understand how you feel about the data on the iPhone, i use my iphone on wifi all the time unless i am outside then i use the network data because i will not use public wifi. I only have 4GB data in my plan so thats why i use wifi a lot, but i love how BIS compresses the data, i haven't gone over my 1GB of data for my 9900 and i actually use this phone more. I also noticed that i have a lot of cached things on my iphone that i can't delete, when i was syncing it i realized there's over 16gb of other things stored within apps that cant be deleted, it's like when you download an app and it just keeps growing and growing in size until the app reaches 1GB of storage size, i don't know why the apps just don't refresh and re-set.

I have an app for you that's going to make your life a lot easier. I asked this very question about two weeks ago in the imore forum and there is an app that completely cleans your cache and I'm actually running 6.2 free gigs of data with 50 apps and
over 200 photos on my 16 GB iPhone I think you have to download it also. Here it is...

Anyone using a nano Sim card in their 9930? Care to show a pic of how to insert one? I tried to put my nano Sim in. It fits without slipping, but my 9930 does not recognize it. It's an att go'card Sim. I fiddled with network setting by putting on GSM 2g 3g but nothing happened.

I think I've had it with smartphones. I'm not buying anymore new ones. I'll just stick with the ones I have or inherit from my wife as she updates. Phone companies nowaday want to seduce buyers with more and more specs, but I'm not going to fall for it anymore.

Who really needs a snapdragon835 unless you're really into games? Fingerprint scanners... really? Who cares if it's on the back or front? Or there at all. I turned off that useless option on my iPad because it slowed me down. Plus, it is a terrible security option, if one really thinks about it. Oled or lcd screen, who cares? If I can't even read it outside on modest setting, it's junk and I'll just stay with my 9930 or passport which are completely visible in direct sunlight even on lowest setting!!

Plus new phones are so fragile. They break too easily. I have old slider phones which could bounce on the floor all day long and work fine.

Batteries today? What a joke. The public's desire for higher specs and more graphics is a major reason why smartphones have awful battery life and must use glass backs to facilitate wireless charging. This only makes them more fragile.

I might look at the mercury, but something tells me ill still be using my passport this time next year.

I have great luck with my nano and my adapter. It's a German made adaptor but the nano firmly makes a positive click sound when it's inserted. I wonder if you're inserting it enough like far enough into the sim tray. When I insert mine I will try to take some pics. 9900:Resurgence of popularity!-img_1480541369.802713.jpg

You have to do what this guy told me(and it worked). But you have to get the "JUNK" folder on the bottom like in the other pics I showed on the Cache page screenshot. Then you are set .......(the JUNK button will appear, but at first it isn't there)

And once you see the junk button on the bottom, clear the cache a few times and eventually it will say "there is no more that can be cleared" and then you will see how much you have cleared. The first time I did that I had 5 free gigs I never had before

Yeah it's working now, i have 14GB in the junk folder that it will allow me delete which is great, I don't know why iPhone's do this, the apps swell and swallow all the data, not to mention they make the lower storage models slower, a reputable guy on YouTube did a test 16GB vs 128GB and the 128GB model was so much faster doing every single task.

Beautiful! Exactly what mine looked like when I got it, all black. And my new white BB brand KB I installed is still as crisp as the day I put it on this summer or so. Just be sure to not spill coffee in it like I almost did haha (thank god I was using the iPhone that day)

I also ordered a new carbon fiber battery cover but now it is all scratched up. I don't like using the BB brand soft gel case I ordered for it. That rubber on the back really helps keep it in your hand and it is pretty impossible to drop it.

Wow, so you must have the 128 GB model.

Well to be fair my 9900 has a lot of memory leakage also. I start the day with around 150 MB's and end up with 65 or so by the time the battery needs to be replaced, but that is why I don't mind swapping batteries.

No, unfortunately the 128GB model is incredibly expensive even with a 2 year contract here, i have the 64GB, i refused to get another 16GB model as my time with the 16GB 5s was one of the worst and most stressful, i constantly had to delete pictures and videos and music and add re-add music when i wanted to listen, i wish i had known about battery doctor when i had the 5s haha, but it just shows that even though they have different storage's the iphones work differently and slower even with very little installed on them, apple will do anything for money, even sell a book of pictures for $300 and offer a mini book of it for $200 lol
