The thinness of the battery allows someone such as myself to place it in my wallet without any issues.

    Good luck!

Funny, I just got mine today! To be honest, I was a little let down. Perhaps I was expecting magic or something? I plop my 9900 in there and it just sits there charging, glaring at me. "Why I been banished to the dock? How come you're not cradling me in your hands, madly typing away on my keyboard?"

However, I do wish I had one for my BB10 devices! Can I make it do anything else? Like automatically turn off WiFi and go to Bedside mode?

OK, everyone. I've finally decided to join in on the fun. I've pulled the trigger on buying me a 9930. When it arrives next week, it'll become my EXP (experimental) device, since I'm new to OS 7. My beloved VZW Z30 will either be tossed into a drawer to hibernate until the BB10 apocalypse, or I might pass it onto my dear ol' Dad for Father's Day. Thanks to all of you in this here thread for sharing your thoughts on the Bold. Can't wait to receive it!

Awesome man. They take a little time to set up sometimes but once there, you'll be rolling.

So it seems I have to ask this now because every region is different but what kind of Tower speeds will you get, 3G? H+?

Minute ago I checked Email++ and ShortCutMe in My World in BBW and at the bottom I had info with my license key.

Typo...it is actually a J-M1 battery. I was checking out the same chinese battery you had but was not sure if it will provide a longer battery life. They also have a chinese gold rated battery that's 2300mAh. It is the same size as the original but has bad reviews from Amazon.

Oh thats great, how do you find the battery life with that battery compared to the 1230mah? they said it was 20% longer battery life. I have bought the Gold 2650mah battery from Aliexpress i will be posting about it when i get it and have a full day of usage with it, so probably next months, thats even if it arrives because ireland now has put a ban on all batteries and all electronic devices that use batteries, i'm hoping it slips through the system, after all its only a phone battery, whats the worst it could do? power my phone for a full day? haha

How in the world can they put a ban on devices with batteries? Maybe you mean that they cannot import certain batteries? I mean, everything runs on batteries. Is this some kind of environmental issue with the Irish Government?

As for my Chinese 1500 well mine might be a bad example to gauge a measurement by. I got the battery at Christmas and it was used at the time. Well not "technically" used because the guy that bought it thought it would solve his 9900 issues and it didn't so it just sat for some months. When I got it, it did hold a good charge for a couple months but then started to deteriorate. It now sits in my car in case I am using my famous "red "X" battery that I tried to restore, fails.

There is a lot to explain but the battery I ordered from Amazon only shows a red x if I have to reboot the 99, but otherwise it will run right to empty and get a full day. So I keep the Chinese no name battery in my car in case the red x jams up.

Thank goodness I got the original 2014 battery that came with this 9900 and also the other new JM-1 from Amazon that functions FLAWLESSLY and never fails.

    So I have 4 batteries.

This is why I recommend to people ordering a 9900 to get a spare battery or 2 because they might have been sitting in a warehouse for years.

They are mint but one unit does suffer from a double type but I do have two spare PKB so I'll replace it over the weekend. If it derives from the OS I'll be shrinking & updating all three units over the weekend. Oh the nostalgia

So, I've got a brand new (refurb) 9900 sitting in a box at home. BlackBerry sent it to me when my old 9900 died, but I ended up purchasing a Q10 in the interim which I've been using up until recently.

I still think my 9900 was my favourite phone.

After a bit of an ordeal, I recently managed to get my Telco to reactivate BIS on my service (the young whippersnappers had never heard of it), but there's one thing stopping me switching back: is there any way of syncing iCloud (caldav) with it, either over USB or over the air? It looks like Sync services was removed in recent versions of Mac OS X, so that makes life slightly more difficult.
