Anyone know what the current rumors are regarding a date for a 2nd Gen volt?
I interested in one but can't seem to find mush on a 2nd Gen one.

yea sorry, thread title should be "2nd gen" and yes the car.
GM themselves are not providing any info on this yet

So, if the manufacturer of the vehicle doesn't have any information about it, why did you think that anyone here would? Of course Crackberry can be very helpful, but I'm pretty sure that the Genie in the magic lamp is off for the weekend!

Hey Chevy, unless you are loyal to GM don't sell yourself short, look into purchasing a diesel instead. The 2015 VW that I ordered just got green car of the year, plus over the life of the car diesel is a cleaner running engine compared to gas. The emissions in gas start breaking down over years of use. With gas mileage I should get 12 or maybe 1400km a tank.

If you want to go electric get a leaf or purchase a tesla. Hybrids are junk in my experience.

I would need the extended range of the gas genny on the volt. Can't go all electric.

As for diesel I have also considered this. Watching the price of diesel as well.

On principal I can't buy an import.

I was wondering if it was similar to how crackberry seems to know everything about phones that haven't been officially announced.

Don't be. You asked the question. Some responded. Don't take it to heart.

I hear yeah on supporting local but for a 28,000 dollar purchase, I'm going with the best product on the market. I will say I know the Chevy cruze is offering a diesel version but vw is still waaaay ahead of the competition.
