oh... ok.... yet to get hands on with 10.2.... So just to be clear, the Android runtime doesn't start unless an Android app is opened... That means a headless Android app will not provide headless functionality unless any Android is opened to initiate the runtime??

The app itself initiates the runtime on boot if you have the correct permissions

Coz that is the core design philosophy of the OS. "The peek" and not the top drawer notification center.

Kris confused? That others not be. It certainly seems worth waiting out the advanced shakedown cruise. I have been swamped so I'm still running the latest ATT official release (from yesterday). I suppose there's upgrades from as shipped, but with 10.2 in offing it seems barely worth the bother.

Ontrail, which ran swell on my Z10 isn't working on the Q10. So now when I go for a hike I am carrying my Q10 as my phone, the Z10 to run Ontrail and my old 9900 to run audible.com. If I can get a stable 10.2 to run on the Q10, then I'll attempt the workarounds to getting everything working on the Q10. As in one phone. Which would be nice.
