    My power button app.
I'm not sure what I did.. But for some reason, it keeps on dying.
For example, after having an OS for about a month, it suddenly is gone!.
I'm not talking about the little widget on the top right. The actual App. The one that opens up as a separate App and tells me to choose one of the options. It's just gone. I don't know where.
Last time, it happened over night. This time, it happened after I reloaded an OS (Because a RIM Employee told me to)

Anyone else Lose their Power button apps?

    It's so weird!
I always have it as my very last application on both my PB and My BB. But all of a sudden it's gone! D:

Are you talking about the silver button with the red circle....now how in the world did that disappear?...you sure you didn't have anything to do with it....only kidding, mine is still there, can't imagine what happened to it. I never use mine anyway

IMHO, the icon to launch the power option is redundant, as the same feature can be accessed from the batt icon on the top screen.

I deleted my "power app" the day I got my PlayBook.

Just noticed mine is gone as well. I reloaded my Os as well and it disappeared. My other PB still has it along with the mail icons. The PB with the reloaded OS lost them too.

I suppose all these icons were leftovers from the previous OS and didn't get wiped with the upgrade. It seems that they are not part of the new OS and subsequently not getting loaded when reinstalled.

It also is buggy. Rather then enter Standby, it will generally reboot/restart the pb. Apparently rim removed it from OS2.

It may have carried over on a 1->2 upgrade but a Debrick or new OS load might eliminate it.

I never use it so I tucked it away in a folder. Just checked and it's still there.

Maybe I should create one that doesnt vanish. I think i see a potential for a 99c app sale here.

    Jk

Looks like the root of the issue was uncovered above.

Clicking the icon, opens a process which opens a new window. Therefore, Application.

I have used it a total of 1 times. I just wanted to know why it was gone. Calm down guys. lol

This app is not part of 2.0, so the only people who have it are those who'd never removed it before updating to 2.0. Anyone who's done a complete wipe since 2.0 (or a "debrick", at least) will no longer have it.
