I can help anyone who needs Southern Ontario support. I have the .shp files edited and customized for use with PYKL3 as well as cities and roads. KBUF, KCLE, and KDTX are all great for Southern Ontario.

Here is an example on my android phone.

Note: KBUF radar is currently out of service due to dual pol upgrade

Also, I have a custom AWIPS reflectivity table if anyone would like it.

KBUF covers southern Ontario and PYKL3 works great I use it on my android and will buy it in seconds for the PB. I have used the 2.3-BETA-J on the PB and it works. But I want the real version made for the PB for updates and stability.
I dont think we will see a "native" BB PB version of this.

Tim, I am the one who was pm'ing you over at storm track about this app so if there are any files for pykl3 you want just let me know.

There's the table just change the extension from
    .txt to
    .pal

As for the kbufcity.txt file save it and change the extension to
    .dat

I would buy it in a heartbeat were it not for error 10000 that has been preventing my from purchasing apps since last November. RIM to date has not fixed this.

If anyone wants this now, go to the website and contact Joe and tell him you have a PB and want the apk file. Right now you need to convert it to bar to sideload it.

    http://www.pykl3radar.com/

Remember to reboot before running it.

The price is the same as it is in the Droid Market place. $9.99, free updates and great support.

Some may say this is to high, but to me it is a deal.
Considering that like programs for the PC run $75 to $85.
PYKL3 has Dual Pole radar products unlike the PC software right now.

If you think its too expensive, than don't buy it and move on.
But for those that know what this type of software costs and what it can do in the real world it's a steal!

Maybe if the PB had this sooner the NWS would not be tossing out Blackberry!

He is pretty good about it. I would say by this evening..

This PB thing is sort of new so it might take him a little while to setup payment methods etc.

I just received this from Joe:
    Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry. I'm working with BlackBerry to work out some potential details so, if you can hold off a few days, that would be best. You are welcome to try out a time-limited beta (until about the middle of April) to ensure that things will work on your device.

I have the copy from my Android device, but if he were to release it to the appworld I would probably buy it again to support him even more.

After I seen it running on my PB I will buy it the second it hits the app world. It would be amazing if it was a native app.

    Update.

As it sets, unless RIM is willing to adjust some of their Terms and Condition for Dev's
this app will not make it to App World.
RIM had been working with the author but has since gone silent.

At issue is the liabilities of having to pay for an audit, if RIM wants one, is a little wild.

I am not a Dev nor do I know much about the T&C that is causing an issue. But I would encourage RIM to work with all Dev's in bringing more quality apps to App World.
Take a good long look at what you're asking someone who is not a cooperation or even an LLC to do and be liable for.

A person not only has to look at how much they might make back and/or the time
it takes to create or port over and maintain an app but also what the legal ramifications
could be and the hazards it presents. I feel this one Term is not needed and is probably preventing many "weekend" Devs from working with RIM.

So, for now it's available for sideloading until such time as RIM screws us on that.

Giving someone a PB does not make up for being liable for thousands of dollars should RIM wish to do an audit. (not fines, just the cost of doing it)

    Thanks,

    Tim
