    Why doesn't RIM just upload the .bar files to app world and allow download from there? Or am I not understanding something?

    Some developers don't want other people uploading their apps like what happened to Dolphin Browser.

    App Developers and/or vendors should agree to the terms indicated on the Blackberry App World Vendor Agreement, http://us.blackberry.com/legal/Black...ment_cl_EN.pdf, and should be acknowledged by both parties (RIM and Vendor) that they had an agreement.
