Okay, I have my spanking new MSI 7950. It has

Can I run all 4 ports at once?

Say I wanted to run 3 monitors and 1 TV, what would be the best

    way of doing this?

Monitors have the following ports 1xDVI/1xHDMI/1xVGA (model is

    listed in sig).

    TV has HDMI/VGA.

Currently running My present 2 monitors using the DVI and HDMI

I'm going to need adapters for the MiniDP ports and I'm thinking

just go HDMI on both of them. I'm a bit rusty on things though, I

remember something about "active" (power injected?) adapters being

Another possible consideration is the TV will be on a 5 or 10

meter span from my base unit, I wouldn't be concerned about signal

strength usually but I'm not sure with it being passed through

Anyone have experience with a similar setup?

As far as I know, your monitors will need to be self-powered. As for can you do that? It really depends on whether your graphic card will support it, i believe. It all really depends whether it has the power to split 3 ways. I think in the end, it may be able to, but to use the 3 as extended desktops? Maybe, maybe not. They might end up just as copies of your desktop. Wrong forum btw

    wrong forum,

The answer to the question though is yes, you can run multiple monitor/tv if you gfx card have multiple output. Mine have two DVI I and I attach one to a VGA monitor and another to HDMI monitor. using adapters obviously

In most cases, two of the ports are just copies of each other meaning with 3 ports you can have two seperate desktops and the other port would only be a clone of one of the other ports. Depending on the card and the software setup you may only be able to do two desktops and the other two ports woudl be clones of the first two. I hope this makes sence. So you would have an HDMI port tied to a MiniDP and a DVI tied to a MiniDP.
