so i just got home to my wifi and connected my playbook. i logged into app world and first thing i see is asphalt 6 at $.99, wow, i'll buy that. so i sign in and go to pay and now it says $6.99. damn app world wtf?
I've seen that it usually takes some time for the advertised price to sync up with billing price.
Try it out in some time or tomorrow.
This works for other way round too (when price increases after a promotion) you can buy the app for the promo price a day or so after the advertised price has increased.
But great news that Asphalt is dropping to 0.99!
I'll be buying it tomorrow for sure!
Yeah, its just a glitch. Near as I can tell, price changes made by developers are instant in app world (once approved). But there is extended delays waiting for the third-party company that handles the purchases to update.
Yes, price is crazy in appworld. In Brazil some apps .99 USD are converted to 1.75 real and others 1.25 ?!
Angry Birds, all three, 4.99 usd is the same 4.99 Reais (+-2.80). This variable conversion rates began 2-3 months.
Asphalt .99 for me too.
i just tried and it is still 6.99 so i clicked support just to see and it brought me to the gameloft site and it told me they have no games available for the playbook. lol.
