What Playbook Apps would you pay for?
First, RIM put a PLAYBOOK filter on the web version of the App World...it might be a little humiliating to show how little there is now but it is-what-it-is and it is easier to use and maybe a few more developers will see opportunities to move to the platform.
Unfortunately i can't develop my way out of a paper-bag but hopefully some of you out there can and will develop PlayBook apps. These are things i would pay for that are not necessarily owned categories like Skype, DropBox, PageOnce, or Kayak all of which we can only hope will come.
I would pay for an app that:
1. Uses BB phone keyboard to type on Playbook
2. RDP, well covered and coming
3. Find My PB
4. Letter Dialer - already free on phones - someone should whip it out for fame and glory, even if it can't dial the phone you can look-up on PB and dial from any phone - desk or bb
5. Dial MY BB from PB contacts - cross integration click to call
6. Add To features
7. Exit Strategy - 2.0 level, rip it they are not developing for BB anymore
8. City Guides - probably coming but a great entry for anyone who has the content BB users travel a lot - integrate local ads for rev
9. DWG viewer
10. Maxi Vista type of function for occasional integration with desktop
11. Call logging, it would be nice to receive consolidated call reports - not stuffed in my calendar but organized - maybe put a calendar entry with the full list of made with details, missed with contact info from contacts, and received with details, allow the user to set times for the logs to enter the calendar as an appointment (everyday at 4PM type of thing)
12. Bookmarks for PB browser - back-up or org utility, seems like OS updates wipe out bookmarks currently
13. How to enable your gps app - sell a ton of those right now!
14. SMS sender - probably, hopefully a bridge app forthcoming
15. RSS reader like News 360 would be killer
Please tell the Dev community what you would pay for, maybe we can help focus some interest on the platform.
