Do you mean current Nintendo DS machines? 'Cause that would be awesome. But no one is capable of doing that; proove me wrong!!
pj64 = Project 64
One generation at a time, we've still got to emulate the 3Dness of the Nintendo 64
I want Majora's Mask >.<
I think it may possible. I think android has a n64 emulator. if possible need to find the apk then have to repack it. no garrenties it would work though
Whoooouuu...good old times with link to the past and majoras mask....also the all those games like mario kart.....uf that will be awesome....
But is it possible because nintendo 64 has more buttons on joystick...how to put all those buttons on touchscreen :S
maybe make it keyboard friendly thru Bluetooth
Damn, n64 emulator, hdmi on lcd and bluetooth blackberry keyboard.....that will be new generation of console games....
yeah, who needs kinect anyway?
True...lol...
lol :P i found a emulator just converted it. issue is i cant sign it . need find someone to sign it. then ill test it
Great, cant wait to see it...
I already converted and signed all the emu's for Android. None work. They can't - the conversion tool only works for apps developed in Java and all the emus are developed in other formats for Android.
im definitely feeling a need for N64 on my playbook. I would love to rock Ogre Battle 64 when i am away from my computer. And could the playbook run a DS emu? Cause that would be completely awesome.
I don't see why we couldn't get an N64 Emu to run, seems to work alright on Dual Core 1 GHz Android Phone and Tablets.
No luck huh, well maybe in OS 2.0
I would love to see an N64 emulator ported to PlayBook. :) I hope one of the awesome devs can pull this off.
Obviously an emulator from scratch is going to be a lot of work, so far I think mupen64plus
is a good candidate, althiugh my knowledge of apis and whatnot is limited.
README - mupen64plus - How to build, install, and use Mupen64Plus - N64 emulator and plugins for Linux, Mac OSX, FreeBSD, and Windows - Google Project Hosting seems like a good start to anyone who wants to work on a port, but there may be better emulators out there
You the android n64 emulator has the src on the android Market. But it is written in C
SO if someone packaged the the files it might work. If it doesn't then you have access to the src and then you can change to make it for the playbook.
Here are the facts;
The Android version of the emulator will not work. No, you cannot repackage it. No, devs cannot tweak it. No, just no, the Android emulators will never work ported, it will not be a solution.
The above mentioned Mupen64Plus is already in progress as a port to the PlayBook. The PlayBook's hardware can handle an N64 emulator just fine, but getting that emulator up and running takes a lot of time. There are a few very talented developers on here which have coded several emulators, and the N64 is, like I said, in progress. One forum member has reported having some luck with a PlayStation One Emulator, too, however it is not ready either.
If you want to read about emulators, here is where you need to go: http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...aybook-705309/
Just remember, this takes time, and a lot of it. Devs working on this is a big favor to us as they have lives and jobs too, we have to be patient, but as I said, they are extremely skilled and will likely have it running, however they do not, and I certainly do not, have an estimate for you as to when. We're just going to have to be patient, maybe play some NES, SNES, Sega, or GBA while we're waiting? There's even an Unreal Speccy emulator on here, and a few others I didn't mention, like I said, check out that page.
